L'anatomie du jardin/Les portraits (Anatomy of the garden/Portraits), 2018. Chalk, ink and iodine on paper.  A series of 12 sketches, 19 cm x 14 cm each.

The element Iodine is usually distributed to the population living near a nuclear power plant as a health prevention during a state of emergency. The botanical garden of Marnay-sur-Seine is located just few kilometers away from one of the biggest French nuclear plants. Iodine was used as an art material on these portraits in order to remind of the potential threat to the environment which nuclear plants pose.
